On The Street

If I'm going to be truthful, over a year ago I wouldn't have dreamt of wearing a maxi skirt. Even now, when I own a few, there's something about them that makes me feel really uncomfortable. Irrespective of my comfort issues however, I still love the way that some girls make them work. This is a really good example of why I am all over anything and everything long and chiffon at the moment. I particularly like the way that this skirt splits open in the front, as opposed to fully covering her legs. It's really flattering and gives the outfit so much more detail.

Have any of you seen any skirts like this one here? Online or in shop!

  6. Love this look! I've been looking for a skirt like this for ages but still haven't seen one! I might try and rustle one up with the sewing machine, if it works I'll make a DIY post about it!

The leather collar is a perfect finishing touch too.

  10. A DIY would be amazing Amy!! My friend and I were talking about this today. You can buy chiffon relatively cheap too.

On our travels today we also spotted that Sass & Bide have also done a sheer-like maxi for their Spring / Summer collection in a bright tangerine color and black. While it doesn't cross over or split at the front, it does split up the sides of your legs which could be really flattering. It's straight up and down too with no pleats, and also quite narrow. You can see it on their website here:

Although, I really don't think that the pictures do this skirt justice. The fabric is really light. I love it!

Thank you to you too, Anonymous, will definitely check out Scanlan later in the week!
