Ksubi Eyewear 0110

Sunglasses are just like shoes - you can never have enough of them. Also like a good pair of shoes, the more you spend the better the quality. My current shades are Ksubi and although I have put them through hell, they are still in perfect condition. Below are some sunglasses from the new Ksubi eyewear range and while I do love my current sunglasses to death, they may need to move over and find some space on their shelf for some new friends. I am in love with the sunglasses in the top photo. Although they're a bit eccentric and not all that versatile, I simply want them to wear with a black bikini or a basic tee and shorts. The shades in the second picture are my other top pick. I like the shape and you can't go wrong with a pair of black sunglasses. They remind me so much of the Olsen twins - particularly Mary-Kate. More of the sunglasses can be found at Ksubi.com.

IN CHARGE

Yes, another photo of Christine Centenera from Paris Fashion Week. I could go on for hours about how much I love her style. I am definitely a big fan of the way she wears a mix of Australian and international designers. Here she wears Bassike pants, Nina Ricci shoes, a Prada necklace, Chloe blouse and Super Future sunglasses...talk about a good combo!

Anna Selezneva

I never get sick of looking at her face. She is by far my favourite model at the moment.

Bodkin

I found this dress on La Garconne. It's quite plain but sometimes in Summer you really just want to be able to throw on anything with a good pair of leather sandals. I know that when it's stinking hot the last thing I ever want to be doing is spending an hour trying to decide what I want to wear. The best thing about dresses this basic is that you can chuck on as much jewelry as you want and not look like you've gone overboard. This dress paired with the the Proenza Schoulder sandals below, a bit of bling, a good bag and those dreamy Giles Spring 2010 sunglasses would make such a good day outfit.

The Mid Heel Solution

You know those days when you wake up and don't feel like wearing flat shoes but you can't bring yourself to wear high heels? Well, these Proenza Schouler sandals are the answer to the problem. I've gone off studs a bit lately but I do like these. They are also good for wearing out on those nights where you've been on your feet all day and want to wear something comfortable but not flat.

Leighton Meester at NYFW
I love this colour on Leighton. It looks really nice and works so well with her complexion and hair colour. I can't help but envy her! She always looks so sweet.

Finger Bling

You can by these rings at www.fashionology.nl - I particularly like the one on the right. It's a lot harder than you would think to find a silver ring that looks like that.

Wildcat

I'm such a sucker for animal print. I picked up these bad boys from Sass and Bide earlier this week and while a new pair of jeans was probably no where near the top of my needs list, it was hard to resist them.

Minimal Michael

I love Michael Kors. Something about him just really appeals to me. Maybe it's our shared love for trashy tabloids or the way he says exactly what he is thinking. Whatever it is, I've always had a soft spot for him. Surprisingly enough he's not really a designer I see on a lot of blogs. In fact, I don't think I can recall ever seeing any of his designs on the blogs I follow. However, when it comes to understanding what women want, he is the master. I love the way he has taken the cut out trend and made it look so feminine and refined. The whole collection seems very clean cut yet you can still feel that alternative edge. I must admit that until I saw this collection I was getting over the cut out trend. Too many labels have ruined it for me by copying the likes of Herve Leger and Preen. I guess I felt like the trend had been cheapened to some extent. But now Kors has provided me with a glimpse of hope. His minimal, pastel designs with simple slits are perfect in every way, shape and form.

Ink Me

I really want to get a tattoo(s) before summer kicks in but I don't know exactly what I want. I'm sick of waiting and I just want to do it. I've accepted that no matter what I get, I will probably get over it at some point given that I get over things very quickly. Fellow inked friends, any ideas?

Giles Spring 2010

If I could pick one item from the whole Giles Spring 2010 collection to have in my posession it would definitely be the sunglasses. They were big and bold and made a hell of a statement - the definition of the ultimate summer shades.

Alexander McQueen Spring 2010

For the past few days I have pondered what exactly to write about Alexander McQueen's Spring 2010 collection. Of course, it goes without saying that the reptile digital prints perfectly integrated into McQueen's signature cuts are breathtaking in their own right. I can only dream about wearing one of them to any formal occasion. However, I think that the real shock came with the shoes. The moment I lowered my eyes to the models feet, I began to feel a burning sensation circulating around my ankles. Even just thinking about them now makes my feet and lower-back ache. It might just be me – but I can’t look past the pain factor that would be encountered when wearing those shoes. They looked incredibly painful on the models as they walked down the catwalk even though their facial expressions and perfectly mastered strides would suggest otherwise. As an art form they are brilliant and top off the whole 'look' that McQueen aims to project. They are rule-breaking but very distant from reality.

Givenchy Spring 2010

Givenchy encompasses everything I dream of in a label season after season and their Spring 2010 collection was no exception. Without any exaggeration, my jaw literally dropped upon my first glimpse of the clothes - and this was from my computer chair. I'd dread to think what my reaction would've been had I been sitting in on the show. If not spending a cent between now and next Spring means that those shoes, the striped blazer or black jumpsuit will be in my closet, I'm ready to make that commitment and live without (almost anything) until then.
